Energy Savings

At E3 Designs, our primary focus is to improve the effectiveness of building mechanical systems based on temperature, humidity, and CO2 levels. An optimized control strategy is developed for each of these parameters to provide acceptable space conditions in the most energy efficient way. Information gathered through a System Monitoring and Verification Program is used to identify areas of poor performance or inefficient operation.

The cost of the program is often recovered through the no cost – low cost O&M changes identified. Capital projects have typically identified savings with paybacks of less than three years (see Scorecard below). The key to our success is through the optimization of the key building parameters to minimize peak building loads. The capital project paybacks are especially attractive because most recommendations emphasize sequencing and control changes to use the existing mechanical equipment more effectively, avoiding large, capital intensive retrofits.
